In fact we know very little about Munch’s methods of work in the sphere of graphic art during the time he spent in Paris, from February 1896 until May 1897. But he produced an impressive amount of work during this period, and it hardly looks as though economic troubles could stop him. He must have produced a good dozen woodcuts, about the same number of intagile (sic) prints and 35 lithographs in the course of these fifteen months in Paris.
