PREVIEW the Autumn Season at GWPA
The autumn season at GWPA begins with PREVIEW, where we present a selection of works that are to be auctioned this season, as well as articles on various subjects around our business.
In last year’s “Top ten list” of the highest prices in the Norwegian auction market, we find GWPA in the first five places.
2019 was a successful year in the Norwegian auction market with a total of six “million” sales, compared with four in 2018. We are proud of GWPA’s sale of five of the most expensive prints and paintings in the Norwegian auction market 2019, and this confirms our niche orientation and our “high-end” profile. “The Annual Norwegian Edvard Munch Sale 2019” was one of our best, and Edvard Munch also occupied the top three places in the “Top Ten” list of 2019. Several Munch works have already been submitted to the “The Annual Norwegian Edvard Munch Sale 2020”. It will be an exceptionally exciting year with the opening of the new Munch Museum. Our innovation “GWPA Online Auction” also became a success and received a positive reception from our customers. We look forward to further developing our online auction offer this year.
