The model is Ingeborg Marie Lassen Kaurin (1894-1972) who modelled for Edvard Munch in the years 1911 to 1915.
In 1915 she married Norwegian painter Søren Onsager, who also used her as a model. Munch depicted her in prints, cf. cat. nos. 402-06. (Cf. Eggum 1988). Woll 2012, p. 282 under cat. no. 393.
