One of the great icons in Norwegian art will be the main attraction at out Important Autumn Sale.
One of the great icons in Norwegian Art, Theodor Kittelsen’s White Bear King Valemon, will be the main attraction at our Important Autumn Sale, 27 November. Both the motif and the fairytale have been amongst the most popular in the last 100 years, and remains so today. Everyone knows “White Bear”. It is a national symbol. It is therefore an honour for Grev Wedels Plass Auksjoner to auction this painting, and the shift in ownership will be a historic one.
Viewing by appointment. Open viewing of cat.no. 47-73 will be taking place Satuday 23 and Sunday 24 November, from 12:00 to 16:00 at Bankplassen 1A.
