The Edvard Munch Sale 2019 was a great success with a number of impressing prices. The whole sale was sold out except for one print, see Hammer Prices here

There is a great demand for Edvard Munch’s art at all price levels, and what we saw at the sale in November 2019 might be an indication as to what we can expect this year? Once again “The Brooch”, Woll 244 caught the highest price, NOK 2,200.000, in fact the highest price in the Norwegian auction market in 2019. And even more, GWPA holds the three highest prices on this motive at an international market, NOK: 2.500.000 (2015), NOK 2.400.000 (2017), NOK 2.200.000 (2019).
It seems as if we have had a certain focus on the specific motive, but the answer is probably rather that “The Annual Norwegian Edvard Munch Sale” in Oslo is one of the best known market places in the world.

We are preparing our sales in 2020. If you consider selling any graphic work or originals, 2020 might be good timing. Please get in touch with us as soon as possible, so we can give you estimates and advice.
