Important Autumn Sale

The Important Autumn Sale presents an exclusive selection of works by some of Norway’s most acclaimed artists of the 19th and 20th centuries, alongside works by established contemporary artists.

The selection is subject to stringent quality standards, with works typically carrying a minimum pre-sale estimate of NOK 50,000. Each auction generally comprises 50–80 works, and new auction records are regularly achieved across the category.

The consignment deadline is Wednesday, 23 September 2026 for works to be considered for inclusion in our PREVIEW magazine.

The final consignment deadline for the autumn auctions is Tuesday, 10 November 2026.

For the Important Autumn Sale we are seeking valuable, high quality works of art by renowned Norwegian artists, including Nikolai Astrup, Johs. Rian, Inger Sitter, Harald Sohlberg, Charlotte Wankel, Jakob Weidemann, Harriet Backer, Peder Balke, Hans Fredrik Gude, Lars Hertervig, Theodor Kittelsen, Christian Krohg and Frits Thaulow, among others.

Free valuation

We are pleased to offer valuation of objects free of charge for the purpose of future sale at Grev Wedels Plass Auksjoner. Valuations can be carried out in several ways, either by bringing the object to the gallery for immediate viewing, or by sending us a photo, either by post or e-mail.
